Irrigation

 A much safer and more modern alternative to syringing. Irrigation involves water at the right temperature, pressure and amount to allow the wax to be "flushed out". 

Irrigation can take between 15 to 30 minutes per ear depending on the level and hardness of wax. However, rest assured that it leaves the ear completely clean and safe. 

The procedure is both accurate and secure, but should not be carried out if you have experienced a middle ear infection in the last 6 weeks, had a perforated eardrum within the last 12 months, have had recent ear mucus, or have undergone any form of ear surgery. You must use OTC ear drops to soften ear wax for 3-7 days before undergoing irrigation or syringing.

 If irrigation/syringing is not an option, we suggest microsuction as a comfortable and hygienic alternative. This is suitable for everyone, even if you recently had an ear infection and typically takes only 5 minutes per ear, based on the amount and type of wax
